I work as an independent consultant for clients who want effective engagement with their stakeholders or service users. I currently lead a programme for the National Cancer Action Team on user involvement in the commissioning of cancer services. This involves working with cancer networks and Primary Care Trusts in different parts of the country as part of a national project designed to develop best practice.
I use team coaching to help companies transform their approach to stakeholder relationships, based on the premise that you are more effective if you are able to ‘stand in the shoes’ of communities with whom you want to engage.
I facilitate multi-stakeholder conversations for private, public and voluntary sector organisations and am an adviser on public and patient engagement. I am currently the facilitator of the UK Forum on Ageing and delivering coaching workshops in support of its regional partners. Current clients include the Department of Health and the Department of Work and Pensions. I am also working with local Primary Care Trusts and pharmaceutical sector leaders.
